World Diabetes Day

Diabetes is a condition which affects around half a billion people worldwide, and this Monday was World Diabetes Day.

As a member of Science Creates, we are proud to share their goal of raising awareness of this by offering a rolling programme of diabetes education workshops.

Carbometrics is developing tech to help people with diabetes to live more normal and longer lives and in this workshop, young learners are set the challenge of investigating if glucose meters are accurate enough.

Here you can see a class of budding scientists achieve a greater understanding of accuracy, precision and reproducibility through their experiments.
